Background

This road section bypasses the city of Irapuato, Guanajuato to the northwest, connecting the Irapuato–León road with the Irapuato–La Piedad highway. It begins at kilometer 121+600 of the Irapuato–León section and ends at kilometer 11+340 of the Irapuato–La Piedad section.

Operations began in October 2010.

It includes two main toll booths (Yotsiro and Arandas) and two auxiliary booths located at the Arandas junction, as well as four interchanges: ITESI (Irapuato–León highway), Arandas, San Cristóbal, and Yotsiro (Irapuato–La Piedad highway).
