Background
The Tapachula-Talismán Highway is a toll-free road located in the southeastern region of the State of Chiapas. It is part of the Puebla – Oaxaca – Ciudad Hidalgo highway corridor, which connects Mexico’s southern border with Guatemala and the rest of Central America.
This highway section began operations in November 2006.
The main assets of Autopistas de Tapachula include: (i) the concession granted for the operation, maintenance, and preservation of the 39.05 km federal toll-free highway section Tapachula–Talismán, including the branch to Ciudad Hidalgo, in the State of Chiapas, and (ii) the PPS contract related to the concession title.
